Oh Boy, Am I In Trouble Now!
It has finally happened. One of those top things on the Mumsy-dread-list has come to pass!
Kaiden has mastered the art of door-knob maneuvering. Yep, you guessed it, he can now OPEN DOORS!
I know that my days are numbered, that nothing is safe any longer!
Hopefully, I will get the chance to run by Target or Wal-mart tomorrow while I am out and pick up some of those door-knob thingie's.
In the meantime, my pantry is the door-knob of choice at the moment, with specific targeting aimed at the trashcan.
I know that snacks are the next discovery, it is only a matter of time.
In preparation of him realizing that there are door-knobs that open the bathroom door, I have made sure to put all of the toilet lids down, and make sure the counters are free of stuff.
Tonight, husband must install more cabinet locks in there, as well.
Then, there is the small matter of the door to the back patio. I must remember to keep the top lock key on the pass-through so that we can come and go as we please without having to worry about the babies all going out to play.
Thankfully, the front door is blocked from them by the baby gate in the hallway.
But, a whole knew world is at his fingertips. All he has to do is recognize that there is a door-knob someplace else in the house!
There is a whole other world out there for Kai and his siblings to explore. Oh boy, am I in trouble now!

Oh yes you are. My boy recently learned that trick also so off we went to the store to buy those darn doorknob things. I hate them, but they sure do work. Today he figured out that he can lift the toilet lid. The doorknob guards only work if the door is closed. Can't get my older kids to remember that I guess when someones IPOD or Nintendo DS gets flushed maybe they will. I wish you luck. You better run to the store quickly.

tee hee, husband went last night- bought a HUGE set of knob covers & different sorts of plug thingies & cabinet locks with hooks on them (they figured out if they just shake the cabinet handle enough, they will pop right open giving access to things like PYREX which makes cool noises when clanked together or dropped!!! thankfully the bathroom door stays closed, but i am super worried that kai will master the art of doorknob covers before long- he has HUGE hands & just will grab, squeeze & turn it from side to side anyways- which will get him right thru the idea of those covers...ack! but for the moment the fortress is holding!!!!
