My Smart Little People

Posted by Vulnadia on Sep 30, 2008 at 11:57 AM My little people are so smart, it's not even funny. They are always constantly surprising me with the things they say and do. This morning, Kian took apart one of his Herbie cars and pulled the back wheel chassis out and put the rest of the car back together. I only found out about it when he brought it to me while I was making lunch and asked me to fix it and make it better. Would you believe that I had a difficult time getting that sucker apart and the wheel chassis inserted correctly back into its spot? It wasn't easy, but I finally got it all back together correctly and he went off on his merry little boy way, driving down the center of the hallway using the wood floor-board as a track. His brother Kai automatically fell in behind him, driving his dump truck with its little people driver in the driver's seat. They were soo very cute, being little boys and all as if they were much older than their wise little two years. Then there was the incident on the stairs. I am doing laundry...or rather I just remembered that I need to do it (oops!) Let's see, I am wearing an old tank-top that has the Evil Queen from Snow White on the front of it and shorts that are much too big and are only being held up by the draw string because everything else is dirty from my building and working on the haunt. On our way upstairs to naptime, after lunch, Kai turned around, took one look at my shirt, and pointed and said, "Queen!" And to think, he hasn't ever even seen Snow White and he can recognize that the lady on my shirt is supposed to be a "Queen." My little people surprise me more and more each day with how smart and intuitive they really are!
