This Year's Tree

Every year since my triplet's birth, our tree has stood in its corner enclosed safely with its very own safety gate...rugrats style octagonish goodness!
THIS year, this year is the first year that the tree will be FREE...that's right, we're going to try a Christmas without the babygate...nothing between Kai and his tree that he loves very VERY much!
We spent Thanksgiving evening sorting through and getting rid of half of our toys...they will go to the Philadelphia Center to help some kids have Christmases that normally wouldn't have one as Merry as we can make it.
Yesterday, we made dough ornaments and set up the tree in its little corner. The kids put a few ornaments on it for good measure.
Kai just wanted to make sure the new tree was tall enough and big enough for our house (he felt the last one was too small and he was probably right!
Last night, while the kids were in bed, I dug out the shatterproof ornaments and made an executive decision to try and have Christmas houses again this year.
The kids think the houses are all castles and are completely and totally enchanted with the houses thankfully!
Now we await the homecoming of Daddy and Bregon so we can put the rest of the decorations on the tree!
After an entire year without decorations of the breakable kind being put out, we wont know what to do with ourselves!
