Back To School

Posted by Vulnadia on Apr 23, 2010 at 10:57 AM This morning, I went back to school. Yep, it's that time again, my trio finally turned 4 and are old enough for ECE next fall. Now if we can only land 3 of those 20 spots we will be in business. It's anybody's guess on if we will get in or not. You see, they go to be tested this Monday, not for what they actually KNOW but it's more what they DON'T know. Yep, you heard me right, they need to show NEED to be able to get in, not smarts. So, what's a Mom to do? I have to cut them off from Sesame Street all weekend so they don't remember how to count or what their colors are I suppose. Here's to hoping that nobody watches any Gilbert & Sullivan over the weekend and shows a large vocabulary on Monday, too. It's going to be difficult to get Kian NOT to quote Pirates of Penzance though, he quoted it this morning actually, but hopefully it was lost on them...I can hope anyways. Yes, the school is still standing, no they did not get into any trouble while they were there. In fact, they were extremely well mannered even in comparison to the 5yr olds who were there to register for next year. So for now, I hold my breath. How does one show that their kids NEED to go to school next year? They are triplets and might have speech & developmental delays, but who knows! We are getting screened in June for those things just in case, though! It was weird going back to school with my babies!
