Enjoying Christmas

Posted by Vulnadia on Dec 27, 2008 at 11:15 AM I don't know about you, but I have had the absolute best time enjoying playing with my kids after Christmas! Even though Christmas Day had it's problems for us, The day after Christmas was the absolute best ever time! Husband and I got up early and brought the babies down for an early breakfast. Then, because he didn't have to work yesterday, we played with our kids and their toys! Vivienne is now wearing her Tinkerbell Princess blue nightie with the bell sleeves, her red conductor bandanna and her pink fuzzy shag boot/slippers. Kian is wearing both his conductor hat and his red cowboy hat over it, complete with red bandanna around his neck and one mitten on his left hand as not to cramp his style! Kaiden has on his cowboy hat and his red bandanna and hasn't stopped choo-chooing for two days now! We assembled the Little People Amusement Park toy, and everyone had a great time figuring out everything that it did. We figured out exactly how many cars can be fit into our Mac car carrier- Kian wins the bet on that one! He also can fit in soo many Little People and cars that they have to be pryed out in the end to make him happy. Kai's dinosaur went over and had himself a nibble off of the Christmas tree while Kian's dinosaurs nibbled on each other's drumsticks at the dinner table. Vivienne tried out her new baby swing with her baby inside it first, then thought that maybe it would be fun for her to fit inside it too. No she didn't get stuck, but if we had let her actually sit in it she might have! All three of the babies collectively emptied out all of the fridge and their freezer into the grocery cart (that was mine when I was 2 oddly enough) and even emptied the shelves out, too! Then Kaiden spent the next hour restocking everything neatly back into place! Meanwhile, Vivienne and Kian made Potato Head people with their Mega-Spud Set. Bregon finally brought his Wii downstairs, and we discovered that Kai is good at tennis...at the tender age of 2! We have had such a good time playing with our kids and all of our toys! reply isn't fun to get to just sit back & play & enjoy the kids for once? it seems like everything goes by soo quickly & we always have soo much that needs doing - its easy to let time slip away-even when i am at home all of the time i find it hard to stop doing & just play with my kids- we HAVE to figure out how to do this more often- cant just have this once a year!!!!! ~mimi
