A Fair Day

Posted by Vulnadia on Oct 30, 2009 at 03:57 PM Today, I needed to run out to the Fair and check on our building to ensure that it held up during the scary nasty storms last night. Now, I knew it couldn't be too bad, because husband & I had gone out last night about 930 to make sure we still had a roof, tents and a ticket booth and we did! We were soo fortunate! But I still had to ensure that the costumes and things were dry, so we headed out anyways. I packed up all the kids and headed out. We got back to the building pretty easily. Thankfully there wasn't any water puddling anywhere and most of the wet things had already dried for the day. That left time for us to take the kids to check the animals out and get an ice cream cone! Vivienne, Kian and Kai were very excited to get to see real tigers up close for the first time! Vivienne did not like them fighting, however, and tried giving them time out when they did fight! We also got to see a real elephant and lots of goats! Next, we walked down to the livestock barn to check out the cows and bulls. Kai mooed at them all as if they would somehow know to talk back to him in conversation! Kian meanwhile decided that he really would prefer to stay outside and watch the spiderman blowups blow in tne wind! They each had ice cream while we walked through the Agriculture building to look at the baby chickens in back! Next, we got pizza and french fries and headed back to my building to eat. We decided we would tailgate in the back of the hearse so we could watch the people walking by while we ate! The babies had a very good time at the fair today!
