Comcast Problems

Posted by Vulnadia on Oct 23, 2009 at 03:33 PM Naively, Tuesday morning, I left to take Bregon to school, after staying up all night to work on sound for our show. When I came back, my internet had gone out for the week...Little did I know I would have soo many problems this week getting it back. In fact, I'm writing from my father's house BECAUSE they haven't been able to fix the problem and it's late Friday afternoon. The first appointment was for Tuesday according to Comcast, and the tech showed up long enough to tip toe to my door and leave his card. They had promised he would call before coming out, but my phone never rang and my caller ID is blank... As soon as we found the card (I had gone out to check the mail) I called in to see what was going on. The lady swears she tried to get in touch with him, supposedly credited my account for this and that, and then set up a new appointment for friday between 8 & 11.... This morning I waited & waited & waited. I even took Bregon to school even earlier than usual just so I could be home. Nobody ever showed up. So, I called in to see what the deal was THIS time, only to find that my 30 minute talk on Wednesday wasnt even recorded in their computer and the appointment was never made. So, 4 supervisors later and a supposed another $20 credit, they have the nerve to decide that they cannot possible come out until Sunday. I've exhausted all of my nice, and am missing work at no less than 2 jobs and then for my theater over all of this. I am at my wits end and don't know what else to do but find another provider. I hate to get DSL because it's slower, but what do you do in this situation? Comcast doesn't seem to care and has no solution for me whatsoever.
