The Wonders Of Choo

Posted by Vulnadia on Oct 08, 2008 at 10:07 AM At my house, everyone is very much into their Choo's right now. I am not even sure how it all came about, but at one point or another, it happened. Somebody discovered the wonders of the "Choo choo train!" I don't know if it was that super cool "All Aboard the Choo Choo Train" song on the Disney Channel, or if it was from the "Dora The Explorer" episode about a train. It may have even come from a "Thomas The Train Engine" birthday party for a friend about a year ago, who knows! The fact remains, that my little people have become Choo Choo connesours and love everything pertaining to "The Choo." Luckily, we have a train table that we were given for our birthday last year and it came with a milk crate full of Choo's and tracks for it. The boys inherited a "Thomas The Train" set from their big brother as well, so we have pleanty of Choo's to go around when needed! Whenever we are out driving and are fortunate to come accross the real deal, I get to hear this tiny chorus of, "Choo choo!" coming from my backseat. It's soo cute to listen to! If I cannot get them to get excited for bed-time or nap-time, all I have to do is haul out the "Thomas The Train Engine" movie and promise them a Choo movie, and off they go, running to the stairs to put their upstairs feet on and climb up! It was so very surreal the other night when, after a huge meltdown, I managed to lure all three babies upstairs at the same time, QUIETLY, with three squish train engine toys and a movie box. They stayed quiet as I put each of them into their little beds and got them all settled and choos in place for their night-night showing of "Thomas The Train Engine." All I heard through that baby monitor after coming downstairs was a quiet little chorus of "Choo choo" as if they were agreeing with what was on the television screen. It is so very cute how important something so simple has become in their tiny everyday little lives!
