Our Second Birthday Party
Because I have a rather large downstairs area in my home, I opted to host my 2 year old's birthday party at our house.
This meant that we could use our trampoline and finally have guests over to play with us on it!
My Daddy took care of the cakes, ice cream, and drinks. He ordered a cars and trucks cake for the baby boys, and a Dora cake for Vivienne.
I had this idea that it would be fun to fill the trampoline full of balloons for the kids to play with, so we ended up blowing up four garbage bags full of multi-colored balloons.
We took care not to use the red or pink balloons in case any popped from someone trying to bite it!
This way we could make sure that if someone was choking, we could see to get the balloon bits out!
Luckily, nobody decided to taste any of the balloons during the party!
For extra fun, I found punch ball balloons like we used to get when we were little at Toy Fair when we bought new shoes!
The big day came, and a bunch of our friends came over to wish the babies a "Happy Birthday."
Everyone played nicely on the trampoline, making sure that the little people didn't get bounced about too much or frightened by the big kids.
The punch balloons turned out super neat because the little kids could use them like the big earth balls and literally roll on top of them and bounce off of them while jumping around!
Everyone had a great time, and went home with balloon and bubble party favors, and blue mouths from their cake!
It ended up working so well, that I might even try doing this again next year for their third birthday party!
