A Field Trip!

Posted by Vulnadia on Jun 25, 2009 at 01:59 PM Today, we all went for a Field Trip en masse to tour The Shreveport Times downtown! My tiny trio got up extra early in anticipation of their day. Kian actually woke up singing his self-composed "Go Bye-Bye" song! I let Bregon have one of his best friends, Peck, over to spend the night last night so that he too could go with us and have some fun! I ran Bregon down to the Fencing Sal for camp while the babies stayed in their beds and Peck kept an ear out for them. Because they did not get to go for a ride to take Bregon, the babies were all sorts of confused about everything today. I had to make them go into the living room, then they saw their clothes and immediately wanted to change and then leave without eating their breakfast! Finally, they realized that I wasn't going to leave any time soon, so they gave in and began to eat while I put on my make-up at the dining room table with them. I checked my email and finished getting dressed, grabbed Peck, the juice cups and the babies, and headed down to the Sal to pick up Bregon for for Noon. Bregon had a lovely day fencing and he told us all about it while he changed his shirt and put on some deoderant so that they didn't ask us to leave over boy stench!!! We actually made it down to the Times pretty quickly, no wrong turns or trains or anything to make us any later than the projected 10 minute time frame quoted! Once inside it is as if they somehow KNEW we were there! We were escorted inside and back to the conference room by way of the glass window that overlooks the paper printing room! The babies are STILL chattering away about seeing how the newspaper is printed and made! Inside the conference room, we met our friends! Old friends from the site were there as well as new friends that are joining us now! Hello everybody!!! It was great getting to meet everyone! We had pizza and cookies and juice and got to chat with everyone about ourselves and our site. Then we toured the building. Thank you everyone for being soo tolerant and kind about my kids! If you heard the children today, that was mostly Kaiden. Well, maybe it was ALL Kaiden, who knows! He just wanted everyone to know he was there, and remember him too I suppose! All of the kids really had a great time touring the newspaper building today. Everyone got balloons (they are really impressed with that by the way!) Vivienne made a few new little girlfriends, too! I can't wait to figure out how to have everyone over to play somehow!! Oh, and yes, that was the picture of my living room on the bigscreen, with Kai standing next to his new parking garage toy...the babies had very thriftily dumped out all their other toy bins behind it so my living room looks super scary in the background! Please excuse it! After we said goodbye to all our friends, we headed back home by way of the Icee store! All of the kids are now chillin out in my living room playing with their balloons, sipping on their icees and having cookies! Thank you soo much for having us everyone! We really enjoyed everything!
