Going To The Doctor

Tuesday, for a change, it was time for all of us to take BREGON to the doctor!
The babies were VERY impressed that they were going to be taking their big brother somewhere.
A few weeks ago, they remembered taking Mommie to the doctor, and now they would get to watch their Bregon get poked and prodded!
Yes, to a bunch of three year old's this has the makings of an ADVENTURE!
From the moment I opened the nursery door for the morning, the babies were all excited in their own ways.
They babbled and chattered back and forth about what they were going to do this morning.
Vivienne ran immediately to Bregon's door and demanded that I open it and let him out for the morning, too.
They were very surprised to find Bregon already getting dressed for the day when that door finally did swing open.
Everyone was soo excited that they couldn't even have breakfast. They just left their plates sitting there because getting ready to go bye-bye was much more of an inviting task!
Everyone was very agreeable and got dressed and changed very obediently and without mess for a change.
The babies ran to the door before I could even open the gate. It was a good thing Bregon was on the other side to get it open in time!
We loaded up and headed out to LSU to see the specialist and show him how much Bregon had grown in only a few months.
When we got there, we found that the gate code had been changed, but there were several security guards out there letting everyone in because apparently it was a new change.
The babies were very excited to see people in uniform out working and they all waved and gave them a bunch of "Hi's!"
I was feeling adventurous that day, and decided to just let the kids walk inside without the stroller containment and the hassle of having to assemble everything.
We did pretty good getting inside with the exception of Kian who was very sceptacle about those sliding double glass doors!
Once inside, the babies each claimed a seat in front of the television set. Pooh did NOT hold their attention for very long, however.
I barely had Bregon signed in before the babies each went their different ways.
On the way in, we had picked up a copy of Red River Mom's for everyone to "Read" while we waited.
We must have been through the book a zillion times pointing out what everyone was doing and what the pictures held.
Finally, they called Bregon's name. He had to go it alone because only one parent was allowed in this room at a time with him.
Meanwhile, the babies discovered that there were baby-sized chairs at a table to practice their sitting.
We practiced a lot after the ladies at the desk decided that they didn't like them kneeling on the larger chairs to see the cars pulling around the drive outside.
Finally, we got a real room that we could all fit inside of, and we went into the back to see the Doctor.
Bregon had managed to grow 2 inches and 11 lbs in just a few months. The doctor decided he was going to be just fine!
Kaiden had to check out the ENTIRE exam room, even down to laying on the exam table, once on each side, just to make sure it was okay.
Kian and Vivienne had this huge philabuster of a debate on the different sizes and types of balls that were on the wallpaper border in the room.
Meanwhile, Kaiden watched the doctor avidly while carefully and very systematically tearing off bits of an acqquired paper towel and eating it.
All in all, it was a successful trip. Even if Kai did get a bit of "Extra" protein!
