New Year's Preparations!!!

Posted by Vulnadia on Dec 30, 2009 at 11:44 AM Have you started getting ready for New Year's yet? Have you taken your tree down? Are your Christmas Decorations put away already or do you leave them up until 12th Night? Mine are still up, what few we have. I suppose I feel guilty about not going all out this year, but it was mostly in self-preservation mode for my decorations, my sanity & that of my kids! I just didn't think anyone would enjoy a constant nagging or discipline over touching the tree or accidentally breaking an ornament that was just too cute to stay away from... So, we made ornaments and put up the unbreakables only, making for a very Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but everyone was happy and upbeat and there was rarely a time-out for decoration violations! I need to take my tree down. And I havent EVEN begun to think about any sort of New Year's Resolution yet! I suppose I need to, but all of the things that come up that need changing are things pretty much beyond my control. I mean, I really want a year that is not as hard on my kiddo as this past year has been. I don't know how to make that happen, really. I don't even know if it is something that I can even begin to affect. But maybe, we can try and stay positive instead? Who knows! So, are you ready for the New Year?
