No Room At The Inn

Posted by Vulnadia on Dec 19, 2009 at 10:28 AM I've run into an embaressing problem. I started noticing it about a month ago, actually. It's no secret I shop all year 'round for my kids for Christmas and birthdays, so I do have a secret stash. It lives in my closet mostly...usually...But when it starts spilling out of that walk-in closet and in to the bathroom, I have to really reassess the situation a bit! I couldn't find my clothes. I knew they were in there, they had to be, but I couldn't find them. So, I decided to clean out my closet and reorganize the secret stash. Ha ha ha! I found my panties, but I also discovered that the amount of space was fast dwindling and it was only early December! Then the embaressing packages started to be delivered to my front door. (I have to do most of my shopping via mail with free shipping codes because its very difficult to get out with 3 3yr olds and still be able to successfully look around and then carry packages if I am game enough to actually make purchases with them!) I actually watched the UPS man stand in the front of his truck in a quandary. You see, the package stack was about as tall as I was and one was about 3 feet wide. Oh my, I upset the UPS guy, poor man! He finally figured out how to get everything to my front door. I felt soo bad, but it was kind of funny! Until, of course, I had to find places to put all of these things. I started a new stack in my room of shipping boxes. I combined lots of it,actually, only it didn't really help out. You see, those packages are STILL rolling on in... And I'm out of space in my closet, my bathroom, my linen closet and even my bedroom. My bedroom and bathroom area is a veritable maze of packages. I suppose I could wrap them, but then I run risk of the kids unwrapping them every time I have to go potty. So, my house is a wreck. I don't even have decorations on my tree yet! Mostly because we discovered that the lower tier of branches has severe case of the droopies. I have to start wrapping and soon. But, everyone knows wrapped presents take up much more space than unwrapped! It's going to be a wild Christmas. I may have to get a hotel room so that I have a place to sleep, though!
