Favorite Summer Activities

Posted by Vulnadia on May 19, 2010 at 10:47 AM The endless days of summer are looming! I'd love some fresh ideas for activities to occupy the long, lazy days. Let's see if we can create enough to keep everyone busy all summer long. Here are a couple of our favorites: Rock walk - we find nice rocks then bring them home and "wash" them in some water Bubbles - always a hit! Bug Safari - look at bugs under the magnifying glass; collect them in jars of observation Archeologist - bury some toys (or even rocks) in the sand box and let the kids find them Picnics - everything tastes better outside, right? Free Movies @ The Boardwalk-Tuesdays Wednesdays & Thursdays Check out the Barnwell Center Gardens both inside & out! It's a great place for a picnic & you can "find nemo" inside under the dome! While you are there, check out the current art exhibits! Norton's Art Gallery is free & has a beautiful garden behind it to picnic in, walk thru, and take pictures of your kiddos! Louisiana State Exhibit Museum is another fun place to go during the summer to see some fun things & best of all, it's free too! It's also sprayground time! AC Steere Park, Brownlee Park & the Riverfront all have sprayground water play! What are some of your favorite summer activities
