Much Too Early For This!

Posted by Vulnadia on Jul 02, 2009 at 09:12 AM Vivienne's screaming AGAIN! It started a few days ago, really it did, at the most inopportune hour. I had just gone to bed, and it was late to begin with. Apparently the air had kicked on upstairs and that is what started it. Vivienne was screaming at the top of her lungs and it was 2a.m. in the morning. I reluctantly went upstairs with a sense of growing dread. You see, once she gets started, it never seems to end! I refilled her water cup at her request. I picked her up and held her and rocked her and smoothed her hair. We explored the stack of DVD's on the ledge above the staircase to find just the right movie to watch. I changed the movie out three times in one visit. Finally, she settled on something as irritating as humanly possible. After it was all said and done, she very quietly settled down on top of her Princess Rag Doll/body pillow and had me cover her up with all three of her blankets as if nothing had ever happened. Innocently I went back down to try and go to sleep. This lasted a couple of hours. Then her piercing scream came through the monitor again, two hours later! Another movie change later and she was quieting down for a time. This has been going on for some time now and I don't think I've slept two consecutive hours in days! Now she is downstairs and back to screaming about this or that at her big brother this time. It's a good thing I got up during her two hours off of non-screaming and did some work!!!!
