On Being Three

They have discovered that the deadbolt key can easily be removed from the lock and placed into easily forgotten places such as a pocket or the curio cabinet. My daughter has taken to cleaning up after EVERYONE. Nothing is excluded from her efforts. I have discovered balloons in the play kitchen stove as well as the cabinet next to the refridgerator. Sippy cups have mysteriously disapeared only to resurface in the play kitchen freezer or in the china cabinet. Kaiden has taken to expanding his train tracks to include not only the living room, but the better part of the dining room as well. Kian has made the startling discovery that if he lets us know that he has to "Ewww" or "Not Ewww" then he gets to go and sit on the potty like his sister, only he isn't as afraid of it as she is Last but not least, they have discovered how much fun it is to go down the stairs. Oh, they don't walk down, they like to slide down on their behinds... Well, not everyone likes to go down the stairs on their behinds. Kai prefers to go down on his tummy head first. Scary Scary Scary stuff! I'm on my toes, that's for certain! I know it's only going to get more and more interesting as they get older!
