Semester Finals: The Followup

Posted by Vulnadia on Jan 08, 2010 at 03:11 PM Well, it happened. They closed school down on day 2 of Bregon's first set of finals. He was ready, too. He was soo upset over the closure which is heartbreaking really. I mean, how many kids actually fuss about school taking a snow day? They don't normally, that's the problem! But both Bregon and his girlfriend were upset about this. They are learning to take this all very seriously and didn't want anything to go wrong with any of it! To make it worse, one teacher speculated that they may have to take all 4 remaining tests on Friday if this were to happen. Other rumors swirled with various scenarios, with no official word on what was to happen. My poor kid studied for all 4 tests over the course of his snow day just to make sure that he was covered regardless of what happened. He went back to school this morning, petrified, not knowing what was to happen. As it turns out, they had Friday's tests today and decided to postpone Thursday's test schedule until Monday. Confusing, really it is. But, what is done is done. Hopefully he did well on his English exam. Monday, we will have yet another half day and an Algebra exam with Piano to round it all out. Hopefully, all will be well!
