Keeping Chloe

Posted by Vulnadia on Jun 05, 2010 at 12:44 PM This summer, a dear friend of mine needed someone to keep her uber cool little girl, Chloe! I kinda thought it sounded like fun, so I jumped at the chance, ESPECIALLY since I have a niece about her age that maybe I can manage to get to play with her... So, this past week, we started hanging out! The first day, we had to run a few errands and try and acclimate Chloe to life with triplets and a 15 yr old... We picked Bregon up from his first day of drivers ed, and headed out to return some library books. Chloe quickly learned that Kaiden does NOT appreciate it when told he cannot go inside the library. In fact, he is quite passionate to the tune of screaming for quite some time on the subject! He really values his getting to carry his book inside and place it neatly in the drop box time apparently! Next we had to try and pick something up from Best Buy. There, we saw a HUGE cardboard cutout of the Mad Hatter since Alice had came out on DVD that same day. This led to Kian having a HUGE revelation that is somewhat disturbing even today to him: Jack Sparrow (his best buddy in action figure form X 3) happens to be the same guy as the Mad Hatter... In Kian's world this is HUGE and rather disturbing. You see, he wears a pirate hat EVERYWHERE, quite literally (as well as his pirate gear in all its glory & he has much of it if you've ever seen him out and about you know it's him that's for sure!) So, after much thought, and lower lip deliberation, he has determined and decided to acknowledge it, though quite begrudgeonly, that yes they are in fact one and the same (Johnny Depp) it's just that as the Mad Hatter, he WEARS A DIFFERENT HAT!!!! Baby logic. Poor Chloe, introduced to 2 very different aspects of the boys within such a short timespan! She took it all in stride though, trooper that she is! Thankfully,Vivienne isn't nearly as different as the boys are... Until it came to sharing her dolls, that is! Chloe admired Anna (the baby du jour of the week) and Vivienne freaked on us. So, Chloe admired Bilo...the big BIG downstairs Bilo that has her own special carseat and baby bag full of accessories....which made Vivienne freak yet again and have a "MY BABY" moment...think baby carriage rolling down the hill away from the stunned Mommie cry.... It took a minute, but soon enough they were both sharing baby duties as Vivienne quickly came to realize that Chloe would make an EXCELLENT "Nanny" and found herself suddenly charged with changing duty, feeding duty etc. Too funny! We ended up at Chic Fila having some lunch and playing in the inside park together. All in all, I think it was a great first day for everyone!!!!
