Preschool Tactical Warfare!

Posted by Vulnadia on Dec 10, 2009 at 08:58 AM Kian is at it again, always playing pirate or rather being a pirate. This means that he is always trying to find ways to pillage and plunder. When you are 3 and haven't any idea what that means, you have to get creative! He is an avid Pirates of Penzance and Pirate Movie efficianado, so he knows Pirates according to Mr.'s Gilbert & Sullivan for the most part. He is the proud captain of a fleet of Pirate ships and he knows that Pirates always storm castles to get stuff! So how might a little kid decide to storm a castle? Will he repell up the side of it using a grappling hook? Nope, too easy and too obvious. Knowing his brother Kai, he had to take special measures to infiltrate and take over the castle. So, he decided he must design and create: TROJAN TATER!!!! That's right ladies, he actually made a trojan potato head...What does this entail actually? It is a potato head body with a bunch of pirates in its...um ...uh...INSIDES!!!! Lets just put it that way...I was proudly shown his creation when I was informed that I needed to replace the trapdoor/butt-hatch on this Potato Head because it had popped off from too many inhabitants...now he is off to storm the castle... Where did he get the idea to do such a thing? Well....um...ugh...maybe just maybe I shouldn't have allowed the boys to watch a nice copy of Spamalot while playing knights and pirates... But it's Broadway, and they love musicals and knights...and it is vaguely educational... I mean, how many 3yr olds do you know of who are schooled in the art of tactical castle invasion??
