Sleep!

Posted by Vulnadia on Apr 05, 2009 at 03:31 PM They would have to sleep sometime, or so one would think. After all, they are barely three, and used to their own little schedule. Ha ha ha, not so, not so. As luck would have it, three year olds not only don't need to eat anything but banannas and applesauce, but they don't really need much in the way of sleep, either! Oh yes, sure, they do go upstairs at the usual time and they do it happily. They even like going to bed. Now, I know why, though. Kian's bedtime battle-cry of, "It's NIGHT-NIGHT TIME!!!!" is enough to make the tiny hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Oh yes, they are angelic and cute and sweet. They love to be tucked in, covered up and kissed goodnight, and they will say, "Love you!" to you even. But as soon as that door shuts, something happens in the nursery, something scary. They all seem to spring up out of bed, Nosferatu-rise style, and have this newfound energy that comes from who knows where! It literally sounds like a circus up there. Kaiden likes to run in circles as fast as he can around the center of the room. Kian likes to try and climb the highest part of his headboard on his crib. Vivienne just likes to watch, mostly, but has been known to join in on the fun, too! Lately, this has been going on until 9 or 9:30 at night. Then, the babies get up at the crack of dawn to start the Good Morning ritual that is very similar to the Night-Night time one. I am seriously starting to wonder if they will EVER really sleep again!
