Air Show!

Husband was very adventurous last Sunday, and decided that he wanted to take all of the kids to see the air show out at Barksdale.
He was being silly, and thought he would be able to do all of this on some sort of schedule.
Silly Daddy, that cannot happen when you have three 3yr olds! It's just not possible!
So, of course we got there, just about two hours later than made husband comfortable, thats all!
Immediately the kid starting having fits because there were airplanes parked all over the "Parking lot."
Then they noticed that there were some in the air flying, too and that made them giggle with glee!
Then we got past the front gate and they realized that they were going to get to see some airplanes really up close, and they were ecstatic!
I kept slathering sunblock on the babies the whole day. In fact, my own sunblock never seemed to set or sink in, so I know the babies felt funny, but they didn't seem to mind much!
We checked out the racing cars up front, and the babie got car-cards with pictures of the race cars on them and they were soo happy!
Then they got to touch some of the smaller planes and Daddy even held each of the babies up so that they could see up inside the larger planes and into the cockpits!
We talked to lots of airmen, and met lots of neat people too! Then, I found some toy airplanes and bought the babies a set to share.
When the big planes started flying, Kaiden had to have his ears held because he hates loud noises.
He figured out that the best place to be was in Daddy's arms so he could put one ear up against his shoulder and cover the other ear with Daddy's hand!
Nobody was scared of the noises anymore, now that they knew where they came from.
Only Vivienne would keep her earplugs in, but that didn't stop the boys from being ecstatically happy about everything!
Kian would double over in his stroller seat with giggling everytime a big plane did a fly-by.
Vivienne sat very seriously in her own seat, with a plane in each hand, mimicking the maneuvers of the planes that were flying above with each fly-by and change in formation.
Every baby had huge smiles on their little faces for the airplanes. They really love those planes, we discovered!
Afterward, we headed back over the bridge. Since the kids were soo good at the airshow, Daddy was feeling especially adventurous and decided that we should take them to Cane' s for dinner and eat there!
He was being VERY adventurous indeed! Poor Bregon spent the better part of the evening drawing pictures of airplanes and Nemo and Thomas to keep the babies happy while we waited for our food.
Kaiden had taken to jumping up and screaming his version of "BOO!" to everyone who tried to go to the restroom and would pass our booth.
Somehow, we all had dinner, but I will never know how we managed. That table was just too tiny for the 6 of us, but we somehow managed!
The babies went to sleep as soon as we got them home and in bed, too! What a long but fun day!
