Day 1 Of My Sleep Solution Plan

Posted by Vulnadia on Apr 16, 2009 at 03:13 PM Monday, we headed out to our old favourite, First Baptist Church Playground on Ockley. I felt silly and lazy because normally we just walk there, but I wasn't sure how the kids would do, so we drove just in case. We were armed with an entire bottle of Apple Juice, sippy cups full of ice, and a bag of cookies. At first, the babies weren't too sure of themselves when it came to the big big climbing toys. It didn't take long for them to figure it all out, though, and they took off sliding and running and having a grand time playing on everything. Then Kai took notice of the water fountain in the far corner of the playground. He just HAD to test it all out. Pretty soon, he had convinced his sister to help hold the handle and keep it all on so that he could pull himself up on the bowl of the fountain and try and drink. He actually got a drink somehow, too. He also got very very wet. Then he gave his sister a turn, too. She got very wet! In fact even her diaper was soaked! Pretty soon all three of the babies were playing in the water. Vivienne found a leftover Easter Basket from the egg hunts this past Saturday and set about playing Easter bunny with her brothers. They took turns hiding eggs and finding them. Kaiden even took his apart and put them back together for everyone. Overall, nobody wanted to leave and they all had a great time. We somehow managed to get them all home without much tears. I made everyone tortilla sandwiches for dinner and even Kaiden was too tired to protest. For once he actually had something other than bannanas for dinner! Now for the real test. We went upstairs to bed, put in James & The Giant Peach, and shut the door for the night. We had to change the movie once, but they were asleep by 8:30 that evening. This was much better than last week's midnight or 1ish and no furniture got moved for once! This experiment just might work out for us!
