New Shoes

Posted by Vulnadia on Oct 16, 2008 at 02:24 PM I had quite forgotten that about a week ago, I bought Vivienne some shoes to wear for fall so that her toes don't get too cold! Most of her summer shoes are some sort of sandal or open shoe, so I wanted to ensure that I wasn't caught unawares if a cold spell should hit! Then, silly me, I made the mistake of putting those brand spanking new shoes on her pretty stinky-prone feet. She hasn't taken them off since, unfortunately. They still look brand new, as she always keeps everything meticulous. But of course after having been worn for a week straight, they stink something awful! Odor Eaters isn't enough for this stench! Then again, one would have to actually get the shoes off of her tiny baby girl feet in order to get the Odor Eaters Powder into the new shoes, now wouldn't I! I take that back, she did remove them for about a minute day before yesterday. Don't get excited, it was only because she had managed to unearth a pair of mismatched socks that she had stolen from her brothers one day and managed to squirrel away in a toy box. So, she insisted that the pre-stinky mismatched socks be placed upon her pretty little stinky toes and then the new shoes over them to boot. Megastench is wafting from her tiny baby girl feet with every step that she takes. I don't know what to do anymore! Is it bad to want to spray your daughter's feet with lysol keeping in mind that to do so, I must litearlly chase behind her with the can hoping that I will hit the mark! But, for a brief, shining moment, she did have a new pair of shoes! THANKS!!!! i really do need the help on this one! its all i can do to get her out of the shoes when its time for her bath- we actually hid one pair from her- & have to hide her brothers shoes from her just to keep this from happening! she will wear socks with some of em, but takes them off sometimes while "playing" & doesnt always put em back on! she couldnt wear socks with some of her summer shoes because they were sandal-like...but they stink too!!! will try airing em out!!! hoping the little doggie doesnt get a tasty treat out of em though! maybe i will stick em on the trampoline so she cant! ~mimi
