Shocking Yet True

Friday, my eldest had his doctor's appointment for his ADHD medication re-check.
It isn't a big deal anymore for him since his medication is finally on track and the right dosage and everything seems good with it.
But for the babies, it can be a total nightmare! They usually hate to go anywhere at all, so I made a few executive decisions.
I decided that we would take the cooler diaper bag stocked with juice, a change of undies, some nemo crackers (goldfish to everyone else) and some vanilla wafers.
I filled up the rest of the bag with their favorite trains and little people in hopes of avoiding tears.
I ran upstairs to get the kids in time to pick up Bregon from school, only to find that Kian had decided to strip because he felt a dirty diaper coming on, and he hates to be dirty.
Plus, he knew darn well that Mum had run out of tape during the lunchtime undie change.
So, I was met with a totally naked Kian doing the happy dance of joy around his, um, well what would have been in his diaper had he actually used it.
I got everything speed cleaned, the baby dressed and all of his stuffs collected (he never ever travels light) and managed to get everyone loaded into the car.
Vivienne brought along her purple cow that her Daddy gave her for Christmas. She had it "Mooing" the entire way to school, the doctor's office, then home again, complete with head-rearing action! Kai, thankfully, travels light.
We managed to collect my eldest from school pretty uneventful, and even managed the trek to the doctor's office easily and with no excitement.
When we arrived, Bregon was shocked to discover that I had NO intention of taking the mondo-stroller inside with us.
The plan was, for the babies to wear their little leash back-packs. Bregon would take one baby, and I would have the other two. He was very sceptical.
At first, Kian and Vivienne couldn't figure out what it was that I needed for them to do. Next, they discovered that they are much smaller than the traffic around them and that it is quite scary.
But, somehow, we managed to babystep it accross the parking lot, and into the doctor's office.
We got laughed at in the parking lot for some reason, and I'm not sure why. We weren't even tangled for once!
Once inside Bregon was even moreso upset to discover that I had every intention of letting the kids sit on the well kids side and play with the toys over there.
The babies thought it was the greatest thing ever. They loved my plan. They all three played together and were nice to each other.
They even made a few friends in the waiting room. Then, when Bregon's name was called, we had a slight set-back getting them to figure out where to go and what to do, but it all worked out once they remembered the way.
We were at the doctor's office for two whole hours that day. The only tears spilled were when Vivie tripped and fell over her brother while he was playing with his car in the corner.
It was soo quiet for an us outing. I really think that letting them have their freedom worked out for us in the long run. They had a great time checking everything out and listened really well.
Now, I am just wondering if we managed to pick anything up while we were there! The way I figure, we probably would catch something regardless from the air alone. Then add in the fact that we were already sniffly and lightly coughing, and I really suppose it wouldn't matter too much.
But, the kids were all soo good! (sssshhhhh....they might hear me typing this!)
