Busy Weekend!

Posted by Vulnadia on Jan 19, 2009 at 12:35 PM My busy weekend....tee hee...started out with Friday night play rehearsal. We ran the newly blocked Prologue and Acts 1 & 2. It was also a dear friends birthday, so I had picked him up a star spangled cake (it was very red & blue) and we scribbled "Happy Birthday" accross it in the only tiny tubed icing I could find ,which turned out to be black... Afterwards, we met a bunch of friends downtown at Robinson Film Center to see "MY NAME IS BRUCE"...which was hysterical...Unfortunately, most of the audience seemed afraid to laugh out loud...we were not among them thankfully!!!!(my friend had a nice bday!!!!) Saturday, we got up and went out to the Fair Grounds to paint our haunt building on the outside and try and make it blend in with the other buildings already out there...well on all sides that are not facade, that is! We mixed all the paint that we had out there together to get enough to do this and low and behold it ended up matching the color scheme out there...odd yet true... I spent the better part of Saturday painting with husband out at the Fair Grounds...Then we had a Target run, where we played in the sale stuff too much and bought $2 & 3$ clothes and shoes & stuffs.... Then, Sunday, it was sleep in a tiny bit (sort of since we stayed up 'til 3 am plotting and haunt planning for next year...) Then, it was back out to paint the trim on the haunt...to complete the masterpiece...yep the trim matched the same paint on the fair office, somehow, too!!!! We now have a sneaky, incognito building! I left the haunt site at 3:15 to take the little people to another dear friend's child's birthday party, which was at Chuck E Cheese's. hat a story I have for you there, but that is a whole other blog entirely!!!! We survived and I suppose that's the great part!!! I finally got everyone home and in bed and managed to remove all of the paint off, finally!!! But it was a nice weekend, even if it was busy!!!
