SICK!

Posted by Vulnadia on Jan 27, 2009 at 10:53 AM I'm all sorts of SICK!!!! And for the moment, the babies are not! I hope to keep it that way, but I have doubts! You see, everyone at rehearal is also sick, and I really think that is where this all came from in the first place. Then, to add to everything, it would seem that Bregon also has the beginnings of it! Oh joy, now he will try and stay home from school, just what I need! You know how all enterprising 14 year olds try to take advantage of any and all opportunities to miss a day of school. So far, so good. My eldest is still at school for the day. It's also cold, not making being sick any fun at all. The poor babies, I feel so very sorry for them! Yesterday, I couldn't tell what the temperature inside was, so I had the thermostat set on 65 and I was burning up! The babies, however, were starting to turn a bit blue from being cold! I wondered why Vivienne stayed curled up in the recliner with her blanket instead of the usual boogeying to The Backyardigans! It finally dawned on me to turn the heat up to a normal temperature after a time. I felt like a horrible Mum, though! I couldn't stand it anymore, so during naptime, instead of having lunch, I snuck a nice hot shower. I felt so guilty, but it really opened up my sinuses and I could breath better afterward! Then, once I got to rehearsal last night, I had the Props guy trying to tell me how on movie sets they all drink some powder because they are NEVER allowed to be sick. I simply smiled and told him that I had developed an immunity to iocane powder. The Princess Bride reference was lost on him, though, sadly enough. But husband and my dear friends Chuck & Matthew heard it and came to save me from the silly Extra-AcTOR that is our Props-guy. I suppose I really shouldn't be allowed out of the house while sick, because I often get into trouble...obviously... But I hate to miss rehearsal, really I do. Almost as much as I hate being sick!
