At What Age Did Your Multiples Realize That They Are Multiples?

To all of the Mothers with multiples out there: when did your kids first realize that they are in fact multiples?
Mine are almost 4 and STILL do not get it. They don't understand why everyone stops us to ask questions.
They are just now understanding that not everyone has the same exact same birthdate and nearly the same exact birthtime.
So when did your kids figure it out or begin to realize that they are very different from most other children?
I managed to get my hands on a set of triplet dolls that Fisher Price manufactured very briefly for the day when Vivienne finally understands and gets it. They are stored away in my linen closet waiting for that day.
She inadvertantly has triplet Madame Alexander dolls that just sort of happened that way by accident, but still not quite the same!
Their birthday is coming up in a little under 2 weeks and they have just now figured out that their big brother, Mom and Dad do not share their birthdays with anyone else.
So, how old were your kids when they noticed and what brought it on, caused it etc and what did they think about it?
How did you explain it to them if they asked you about it? Did they have trouble in school with it?
