Bump!

Posted by Vulnadia on Oct 23, 2008 at 10:29 AM Yesterday, I was out innocently working on my show, trying to get it ready to open for today, when I got one of those dreaded Mumsy-calls. It was Bregon, my eldest, calling to warn me about something that Kai had managed to do to himself. It started out that Kai was okay, so I knew I was in trouble! As it turns out, Bregon was trying to make sure that when I got him up the next morning, I didn't freak out over his new shiny bruise of a bump that Kai now proudly sports. It all happened, apparently, on the way upstairs when Bregon went to put the tiny trio to sleep for the night. Kai decided that his matchbox cars might make great roller skates, and decided to give his new vision a whirl. It worked for about 4 or 5 seconds, or so Bregon reported. Then, Kai managed to skate himself head first into the door-jam of the bedroom door, bumping the heck out of his baby boy head. Now , you must realize, that Kai has hit his head more than anybody I have ever met, and always done so royally, so I was not surprised over the whole bump on the head issue. But, this morning, when I got him up for breakfast, I finally got a good look at him, and that bump is HUGE! Bregon had taken care of the tears and had cheered him up with new cars from the car-bin in the closet and had managed to get him calm and in bed and happy when the bump happened. Looking at the bump now, though, I haven't a clue how he managed to get him calm and happy again. That bump looks like it hurts even now, poor dear! But, thankfully, Kai is okay. Now if I can only keep him from trying his next trick, we will be in good shape!
