Easter Eggs!

Posted by Vulnadia on Mar 23, 2010 at 08:14 AM Easter is coming up & fast! What is your preferred/favourite way to dye eggs? We like to use the spin-art dome-shaped purple thingy with the push button on top! We first found it when Bregon was about 3 years old, and have used it every year since then. He named it "Dragon" because that first year, we were working a Renaissance Festival and were dying eggs for a Faire-wide egg hunt! The machine is great because it is totally enclosed and you can just add the dye (adults),pop the top on, and give it to the kiddos to push the button and watch the egg "decorate" itself with little or no mess if you make sure to remember to have egg-scissors on hand! It makes gorgeous eggs...ESPECIALLY if you remember to dye your eggs solid colors FIRST using vinegar to ensure the brightest colors! They come out looking like stained glass basically, and a very young child help with what is normally a VERY messy project! So how do you dye YOUR eggs?
