A Feeling Of Being Slighted

Yesterday, I had to make a Wal-mart run for essentials such as soap and deodorant and the like.
I was trying to get my eldest over to his friend's house for the afternoon, but still found myself having to go and vote.
I have NEVER had to wait in line to vote, but yesterday, I suppose, was a first time for many things.
Usually I run in and run out whenever I vote, but there was this line running out of the mall doorway.
I think if the poll people had been more organized, the line would not have really happened because it took almost 15 minutes for someone to decide to see what the line was all about and try and route traffic properly so that we could all go through the process it takes for us to be able to get into line to actually vote.
I was there almost two hours, waiting in line, listening to interesting opinions and debates over the candidates (which I will save for another blog that will require much more time and effort than the like of this one!)
Then, I headed on over to Wal-mart to try and get soap. While there, I had to call my eldest and let him know that I didn't think that we would have enough time to get him over to his friends house for the afternoon, as much as I hated to have to tell him that after all he has been doing for me lately. I really owe him, really I do.
But, the Wal-mart gods were smiling down upon me this day, because I did manage to find not one, but two pair of tiny baby boy shoes in the right size for my baby boys and they were both on sale for $5! What luck is that?
The boy's feet haven't grown in over a year, literally, and they were still wearing the same shoes that I bought last year when it got too cold for them to go without, so they were long overdue a new pair!
I even remembered to check out the beautiful baby girl section and managed to find a set of butterfly barrettes that I knew would make Baby Vivienne a very very happy little girl!
But, when I got home, and brought out all of my presents for the little people, Kaiden presented his feet for adorning with his new shoes, and Kian came and sat down, too, all excited over the new shoes.
But my Beautiful Baby Vivienne became very sad, very quickly. You see, she wanted her new shoes, too, even though she had just acquired a shiny new pair a few weeks ago.
Thankfully, Bregon was able to run upstairs and find both of her shoes and get back in time before tears began to fall.
After the fact, Vivienne was very happy with her butterfuly barrettes. But, I can't help but notice that she seemed to have a feeling of being a bit slighted at the moment, poor dear!
