Toddler Trials & Tribulations

Posted by Vulnadia on Nov 05, 2008 at 10:58 AM have been at my witts end for the past 2 weeks- I simply cannot keep my eldest of my tiny trio out of anything, quite literally. I have had to rearrange the kitchen countertops several times, only to have him find yet other ways to get to what I really do not have the time to hide at the moment!!!! I cannot seem to keep up anymore. I cannot work. I cannot write. I cannot even think anymore and feel like I am going insane over it! I just finished cleaning up from where they found and consequently shredded an entire roll of toilet paper all over the kitchen, living and dining room. I know, I know, but the fact is, husband left it out for them not thinking or remembering that I cannot keep Kaiden off of the counters! They have exhausted the batteries in all of their toothbrushes from insisting on playing with them for the past two weeks non-stop. They have broken mother's candelabra that I have no other place to put due to its size. Just now, I had to stop writing and go investigate a rather odd and unusual noise coming from my kitchen. I walked in just in time to see Kaiden climbing off of the counter into the pass-through, headed back to his ladder which is really his feeding chair strapped to a dining room chair. I had to turn the coffee pot back off again, and take away something he managed to pull from off of the top of the refridgerator. I suppose that is my cue to cook lunch, I don't know anymore! But, if I feed them lunch, then it would soon be naptime, and then maybe I might be allowed to think a bit...or not, depending on the crashing noises that sometimes come from the bedroom upstairs! I think i am going to go completely insane from all of this!!!!!
