Now He's Got It!

Posted by Vulnadia on Nov 12, 2008 at 12:34 PM Poor husband, he recently got a huge taste of what exactly it is that I go through each and every day at home with the babies! He thought he was going to have a leisurely, relaxing day off at home the other day, but the babies had other ideas! It seemed that every time he turned around, someone wanted to be held and loved on...for diversionary purposes only! Husband would pick up the cute innocent looking tot and love on them only to find himself distracted from the REAL troublemaker who would take the opportunity to make their move. After this day, I had to go hunting for my silverware because, apparently, husband had the need to relocate it to the fourth shelf of the pantry for safekeeping. Yep, Kai had managed to crack the child-lock on the knife drawer and actually break the mechanism that held everything in place, giving himself and all of the babies access to such fun things as ladles and even butcher knives! Cooking dinner was interesting since everyone managed to FORGET to tell me the new location of the cooking implements needed! I still cannot find some of my cooking supplies, and really am almost afraid to ask husband what had become of them. The babies even managed to get past the bi-fold door lock that used to function to keep the tiny trio out of the laundry room. Did I ever mention that Kai loves laundry detergent? Apparently it feels good when he picks up a handful and tosses it around or something! What would I ever do without my Swiffer vac? It's the only way to clean up loose laundry detergent granules and shredded styrofoam! Poor husband, he now understands that staying at home with the kids can be just as stressful as being at work away from them!
