OctoMom Chooses PETA Over Porn

America, for some reason or another, has chosen to basically ostracize her for a myriad of reasons. Whatever the reason is, unless you have been faced with a multiple pregnancy, you probably do not have the knowledge and experiences of these types of situations to actually judge her,however the world has. You see, carrying multiples is scary, and you are told each & every day that you will lose the pregnancy. In fact, you are advised time & again to selectively reduce the pregnancy, putting even the remaining fetus(es) at risk by doing so. But, I digress. What everyone has done is severely limit this woman's ability to earn whatever living she can within reason (& by reason you ladies know what I mean, respectable, everyday jobs.) I myself know that there isn't anyway I can afford a nanny, or daycare so that I can work a fulltime out of the home job. It's why most mothers of multiples will turn to at home jobs, or doing what most call "Exploiting" our children to make a dime. Don't get me wrong, we don't all have reality TV shows or get gigs Dancing With The Stars or are TLC darlings, but most of us will find ourselves doing something to make a dime that singleton parents would never dream of doing. Personally, I opened up my life for scrutiny to get diaper money and started writing, so sue me, it works. This woman has been soo shunned by everyone's conclusion jumping, that she can't even really do as much as I do to make a dime. To save her house (and there is a LOT of reasons why they are having problems) she was offerred a very demeaning means of work. They wanted her to make a Porno. Should she be in this spot? Why does most of mundane American feel this is what she deserves? Instead of the Porno, she opted for a deal with PETA which is almost as demeaning in some ways, but at least she gets to keep her clothes on and keep some of her dignity and that of her kids. What is wrong with a society who would do this to any family? What makes her any less deserving than Kate or the Duggars to name a few...these shows are now a dime a dozen or so it would appear making new star families by the day. What's a Mum to do? My own work at home jobs have been threatened to be eradicated due to cutbacks. In fact, I sit here typing now, wondering if I will lose one of them in the next 60 days or if they will find me a great deal in comparison to their hourly employees that they pay insurance on in the office. I am trying to wait out the kids getting into school in hopes that I will be able to land one of the few school-hour jobs that there are out there. I have my eyes on a couple of possibilities, but first I must score three of those 20 slots for ECE at our neighborhood school. No way can I afford daycare for three, and my eldest son's obligations are unreal some weeks and I must shuttle him to and fro for those as well. It's not that I mind doing it, I love it, but I also know I must somehow make money. I hope that multiple discrimination will not become a factor when I start job hunting, but the biases are there, pure and simple. OctoMom also will always have problems no matter what she tries to do.
