Peta Sickens Me

But today it just saddens me to see the annual PETA story taking the place of an actual, viable local news story just because the tiger chic is back in town again protesting the circus & the treatment of its animals. Why is it that the tiger painted booby-lady always protests in downtown Shreveport when the circus is slated to be at a Bossier venue? What exactly is the point of raising awareness in another city of the treatment of animals in an event that is taking place somewhere else? I suppose we should just be glad that tiger painted booby-lady decided to stand on a street corner in downtown Shreveport this time, instead of in front of Sci-port like in years past. She will get her message out to so many more circus-goers that way, I suppose. The funnier part...the irony, is, why is this really even news? It's nothing new. In fact, this same thing happens EVERY time the circus comes to town. And, every time, that seemingly same chic is tiger striped and naked, and someone ALWAYS complains about her having her boobies showing and having to look at them. I mean, if you dont like boobies, why fixate & stare at hers? They are no different than any other boobies in the world, well, maybe save for the minor fact that hers are tiger striped...what a novelty! The sad part is, that this repetitive event story usurped another news story regarding the loss of Shreveport Little Theater's home building on Margaret Place. Art has been substituted for art, I suppose... But is what the tiger-painted booby-lady doing really art and is it really all that newsworthy? Is she really warranting all this news attention since she follows the circus around everywhere it goes and we see her every time it comes to town just like we see elephants and clowns and the scantily clad high-wire act (that is another rant actually as if their scantily-cladded-ness is anything new-yes they have boobies & butt cracks too- oh my!) It just saddens me to see that same old story, nothing new, take the place of actual news. But, someone has to always complain about boobies, and then somebody feels compelled to write about it...
