Sleeping Solution Day 2

Posted by Vulnadia on Apr 16, 2009 at 03:24 PM Today, we decided to try the duck pond on for size. Some other Mommies mentioned that they take their kids there, so why not mine? Well, we packed up, armed with the usual juice bottle, sippy cups and cookies, and headed on over. Everyone practiced hand holding as we walked through the parking lot and headed down to the playground. Kai was smitten with the first set of slides, and soon was up in the middle of everything. The park was croweded that day, so Bregon decided to keep an eye on Kai for me and left me with Kian and Vivienne. Of course nobody wanted to stay in the same area, so we headed out for the 2nd set of toys. The big big kids were too rough there, so we tried the third set. That was when Kian noticed that there was a cool building and a parking lot full of neat cars to check out! He took off running in all his glee and excitement of discovering these new things to check out. I managed to get Vivienne to come along and I managed to catch him by the overall straps just in time! I looked up to see Bregon headed towards us with Kaiden to check out the last set of slides. We joined them for a time. Pretty soon, tripletese was flying, and the boys were just suddenly GONE! i spotted them running as fast as they could towards the bathrooms, thinking that they had gone unnoticed! I caught up with them just as they were splitting up to check out each side of the restroom section at the park. Luckily they had no real interest in what goes on in there, so that didn't last long at all! Then Kai decided he wanted slide, only not on the equipment. He wanted to slide down the embankment into the water and swim with the duckies. He was very upset with me when i caught him by that overalls trap and kept him from sliding down! We had to leave shortly after that because Kaiden is very persistent and it would have been onlly a matter of time before he got his wish and managed to slide into the water! So, i headed out and went for icees for Bregon and I and a snack for the little people. Then we went to old faithful safe backup park, the First Baptist Playground. Seems like we ed up there a lot! Husband met us out there when he got off work and played with us for a while. I also let my eldest call his best friend and had he and his brothers dropped off to play with us as well! We ended up home about 6 for dinner and they actually ate for the 2nd day in a row! I had them all in bed by 7 and this time they stayed in their beds. Nobody got out of their crib, nobody got up for anything. They all just went to bed like they used to do, back before they could escape. This could actually be the key! They slept until 8 the next morning, too!
