Trips To Atlanta Make Me Nervous 10870 posts Posted by Vulnadia on Jul 09, 2010 at 11:03 PM Call me crazy, but it just hit me out of the blue the other day that my kid was going to Atlanta THIS weekend of all weekends. Coincidence or not, he lost his best friend in an accident a year ago this weekend along the same road he must travel a year later. It has been making me nervous as humanly possible. I'm a wreck. I couldn't tell him no don't go, it bothers me, but at the same time it's his big tournament. So here I sit, a nervous wreck, worrying. I worried the day they left and all through Mississippi knowing that was where it happened. I was ever so glad to get that call saying that they made it all the way there the other day. Now if I can just breathe and get through the trip home! Not to be weird or anything, but I am just nervous and worried and well...I miss his friend...and my friend...his Mom... That blasted turtle of their's has lived with us ever since, just as he left it a year ago...I go in every now and then and poke it, just to be sure he's still kicking in there... That turtle will probably outlive us all...stinky as it is...and I can't help but worry.
