Sleep Solution Day 3

Posted by Vulnadia on Apr 16, 2009 at 03:34 PM Since the master plan seems to work, we decided to try Betty Virginia today, and meet Jordan and her little boy there about 2. I decided to call Bregon's best friend and invite he and his little brothers to come out and play too so their Mum could get some work done and have some time to herself. It had worked out soo very well the day before, too! We actually got everyone up and out and ready to go on time for once, too! Betty Virginia isn't bad, really. There is the bayou problem though. Knowing Kai's affinity for water, we started off talking about how it was icky stinky potty water and gross and how we don't want to touch it or take a bath in it JUST IN CASE he had a mind to try something. It must have worked because he stayed away from it in favour of a nice mud puddle he managed to locate just off the path past the playground! Vivienne immediately headed for the scariest way up to the slide as she could find, some sort of climbing bars with rails on em that did not look suitable for tiny people to try out! But all 3 of mine decided to give it a whirl at the same time! I even caught another 2yr old that tried it out in the middle of mine giving it a whirl. He slipped easily enough! We stayed there til Kai'smind started to wander and started concocting other things to do in the area. It was sweet of him to pick all those flowers and share with Jordan and her son, but really the park garden is a bit bare now...It was great to finally meet you guys, by the way!!! Then we loaded everyone up in the van, friends and all, and went to get icees and a snack and head for old faithful. This time, Bregon brought the bopper swords to play with and the older boys played with the swords while the little folk played together. Vivienne had graduated from having to be caught at the end of the slides to just having you watch her "Just in case!" We stayed until 6 this time, too. the babies were soo done that Kian got caught making angels in the wood chips, sniffling and sad. We managed to get everyone home, fed (peanut butter rules did ya know?) and in bed by 7. We didn't hear a peep out of them AGAIN! I think I am on a roll! They got up at 9 this morning and were still sleepy and groggy! Tomorrow we are going to try out Kid City. We ran into Jenny as she was leaving First Baptist and she says its the best! One of these days our kids will finally get to play together!
